HRMC bumps visitor restrictions

HURON — Huron Regional Medical Center has updated visitor restrictions to protect patients and staff, by helping reduce the spread of infection.

Due to recent increases in COVID-19 positive cases, as well as influenza and other respiratory illnesses, only one visitor/support person, per day will be allowed for hospital patients and its clinics: HRMC Physicians Clinic, Tschetter & Hohm Clinic and Women’s Wellness Center.

For inpatients on the medical/surgical floor, this means that only one visitor will be allowed to visit one time per day and will not be allowed to come and go throughout the day. The HRMC Birthing Center will allow only one support person for the duration of the patient’s stay.

Everyone entering HRMC must wear a mask and also stop at the screening station to answer a few short questions about symptoms, exposure or pending test results.
