HURON — Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) honored Auxiliary Volunteer of the Year Diane Wipf as part of the annual Auxiliary Recognition Luncheon on May 21 in the HRMC Legacy Plaza Auditorium.

Jackie Spillum, who serves as co-president of the HRMC Auxiliary, announced Wipf as this year’s winner, while her husband waited in the wings to surprise her. Spillum described Wipf as a very dedicated volunteer who is always willing to help wherever needed, serving in nearly every position. Wipf keeps herself busy helping with various hospital work and sharing a hearty welcome greeting to patients and visitors alike. Wipf is not new to HRMC as she worked as a nurse aide until 1970. In her spare time, she enjoys fishing and volunteering for HRMC and at basketball games.
