HARRISBURG – The Huron boys soccer team scored a dominant road victory on Thursday night in Harrisburg, winning 8-1.

The Tigers led 3-0 at half behind a pair of goals from Thai Say that were both assisted by Eduardo Trujillo. Ronaldo Pineda kicked off Huron’s scoring in the 7th minute with an unassisted corner kick for a goal.

Harrisburg (1-10) scored its only goal in the 41st minute, but it was all Huron after that as five Tigers scored goals to add to the tally. Kler Have, Sha Sher, Eduardo Trujillo, Aung Min, and Nick Weir all scored in the second half.

Alex Bautista saved four in picking up the victory in goal for the Tigers, who move to 5-3 with the win.

Coach Leah Branaugh was pleased with the way the team performed, especially in the second half. “I felt we really stepped our play up in the second half,” said Branaugh. “We were able to make clean passes, score when we had the chance, and maintain possession.”

The JV Tigers defeated Harrisburg by a 6-1 score as Moo Gay, Kay Doh, Biat Say, and Lay Thaw each scored goals, with Say and Thaw each contributing two apiece. Nick Weir had two saves on the day and Tha Moo had a save as well.

Huron hosts Brandon Valley Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Tiger Stadium.
