HURON – Brookings coasted to a victory in the cheer competition and Yankton edged out Sioux Falls Washington for the dance title in Tuesday’s Huron Invitational at the Huron Arena.

Yankton scored 268.25 points, just a half point more than Sioux Falls Washington, who finished with a 267.75 mark. O’Gorman finished third with a 264.5 score.

Brookings took home the cheer competition with 266.5 points, defeating O’Gorman (256) by more than ten points and Watertown (226) by forty.

Huron finished seventh in the cheer competition with a score of 197.5 and an overall dance score of 230 with a score of 226 in jazz and 234 in hip hop.

The Tigers travel to Sioux Falls Tuesday for the O’Gorman Cheer and Dance Invite.
