MITCHELL — The Huron cheer team posted a score of 197 with no deductions to finish sixth in the Mitchell Invitational on Thursday.

Harrisburg won the event with a 273.5, while Watertown was second at 263.00. Rounding out the top five were Brookings at 251, Mitchell at 226.50 and Yankton at 205.

Wolsey-Wessington was ninth at 184.

Huron was ninth in the dance competition with a 227.25. The Tigers were fourth in jazz at 226.5 and seventh in hip hop at 228.

Yankton won the dance title with a 282.50, while Dakota Valley was second at 278.25.

Next up for Huron is the Eastern South Dakota Conference event on Oct. 12 in Aberdeen.

Wolsey-Wessington is at the Class A State Competition on Oct. 21 in Sioux Falls.
