HURON — The Huron Connect Harvest Fest was held from Sept. 28 to Oct 4 this year.

One of the popular events of Harvest Fest is the classroom pumpkin decorating contest. With this year’s event being virtual, teachers submitted a picture of their classes’ pumpkin creation to the Huron Connect’s Facebook page, where people were able to vote by liking their favorite pumpkin throughout the week.

The classroom with the most likes at the end of the week won a pizza party and the teacher received $50 in Huron bucks sponsored by Center for Independence.

Mrs. Glanzer’s kindergarten class at the Buchanan K-1 Center was the winning classroom with a Cookie Monster pumpkin, while Mrs. Schoenfelder’s class, also a Kindergarten class at Buchanan, with its donut entry, was the runner up.

This year’s race was very close between the two classrooms, with the difference of only three likes.

Huron Connect was so pleased by the participation that they decided to host a second pizza party for the runner up class as well. This second party was sponsored by Huron Connect.
