Huron dentists honored at state meeting

HURON — Two Huron dentists were honored during the South Dakota Dental Association’s 134th annual meeting held May 18-20 in Sioux Falls.
Dr. Bruce Wintle was presented the South Dakota Dental Associat-ion’s Humanitarian Award, and Dr. Michael Fuchs was recognized as the honored guest for his years of service at the 134th annual meeting.
Wintle was recognized for his leadership and commitment to dentistry in South Dakota. He has practiced dentistry in Huron since 1995.

He is a member of the SDDA Board of Trustees and a Past President of the Southern District Dental Society.
Fuchs was recognized for his years of service to the dental profession in South Dakota.
Fuchs has served as president of the South Dakota Dental Association and chair of the South Dakota Dental Foundation. He has been recognized by the Association in the past, receiving the Gold Tooth Award in 1998 and the Distinguished Service Award in 2001.
The South Dakota Dental Association is a 900-member organization of dentists and allied dental staff in South Dakota. The organization’s mission is the improvement of the dental health of the public and the promotion of the art and science of dentistry in South Dakota.
