HURON – An alleged international drug dealer and known gang member was arrested without incident at a Huron residence early Thursday morning, authorities said.
Jean Torres-Soto of Huron was transported to Sioux Falls for an afternoon appearance in federal court.

He had been indicted by a federal grand jury on Dec. 8 in Puerto Rico for conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance.
The indictment alleges that Torres-Soto and more than 100 other individuals conspired to distribute large amounts of cocaine, heroin and marijuana throughout Puerto Rico and the continental United States.
The arrest was made as part of an FBI-coordinated nationwide takedown. Torres-Soto was arrested by U.S. Marshals and FBI agents.
Assisting with the investigation were the Huron Police Department and Jerauld County Sheriff’s Office.
