MITCHELL — After having the first two weeks of the season cancelled due to weather, the Huron boys’ tennis team recorded a pair of wins during a quadrangular meet in Mitchell on Friday.
The Tigers recorded 9-0 victories against Madison and Vermillion, while suffering a 9-0 setback against Mitchell.
“All of the boys played very well for our first matches of the season,” Huron coach Tim Hedblom said. “I was pleased with how each of them competed today!
“There are some things we saw that we need to work on, but overall I thought the boys did well,” he said.
Next up for the Tigers will be a triangular meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Pierre. Huron will face the Governors and Spearfish.
