MITCHELL — With four teams finishing with in two strokes of each other, it was Sioux Falls O’Gorman claiming the title during the Mitchell Invitational on Friday at Lakeview Golf Course.
The Knights finished at 303, while Sioux Falls Roosevelt and Harrisburg shared the second spot in the 15-team field with scores of 304. Yankton was fourth at 305, followed by Sioux Falls Lincoln at 319.
Huron was 14th overall with a score of 386.
Jack Eggebraaten of Sioux Falls Roosevelt used a 2-under par 70 to win the event, while Luke Honner of Sioux Falls Lincoln and Sam Grout of Spearfish had scores of 71 to share the second spot.
Braydon Jones of Aberdeen Central was fourth at 72, while Will Allen of Harrisburg, Austin Frick of Yankton and Lance Christensen Jr. of Little Wound shared the fifth spot with scores of 73.
Landon Roberts led the Tigers with an 82 to finish in the four-way tie for 29th. Will Smith had a 94, which put him in a tie for 64th, while Aiden Zavesky and Landon Mohr had scores of 97 and 113, respectively.
Huron will travel to the Watertown Invitational at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
