Huron golfers compete in Mitchell Invitational

MITCHELL — The Sioux Falls Roosevelt Rough Riders won the tie breaker with the Rapid City Stevens Raiders, both finished at 10-over par at the Mitchell Golf Invitational on Friday morning at Lake View.
Jack Lundin of the Rough Riders was the top individual golfer with a 69, after a tie breaker with Sioux Falls Washington Warriors’ Will Grevlos, who followed in second place with a 69. In third place was Sam Batta from the Watertown Arrows with 73, also with 73 placing fourth was Lane Jensen of the Raiders. In fifth, another 73 finish by John Young of the Raiders.
Huron’s golf team finished 13th in Friday’s meet.

 Will Smith of the Huron Tigers shot 81, while Nolan Wiegel had 83 and Nathan Gauer finished at 85.
Also playing for Huron was Jacob Wehde and Landon Roberts who both shot 86 and Mason Rozell who took 87.
The Tigers will compete on Monday at the Watertown Invitational.
