Huron golfers finish strong at Watertown Invitational

WATERTOWN — Huron’s Karlie Bigelow challenged for the top spot during the Watertown Golf Invitational on Monday at Prairie Winds Country Club.
Karlie Bigelow finished with an 80 to lead the Tigers, which was just four strokes off the pace set by medalist Sydney Wirebaugh of Aberdeen Central.
Brooklyn Hofer of Aberdeen Central and Annabelle Simpson of Pierre shared the second spot with scores of 77 and Karlie Bigelow had a season-best fourth-place finish.

Cassidy Gough of Aberdeen Central rounded out the top five with a score of 81.
Kenya Bigelow was 12th for Huron with an 88, while Bryn Huber had a 101.
Aberdeen Central used a score of 323 to win the team title. Pierre was second at 351, followed by Watertown at 370 and Mitchell at 372.
With just three golfers, the Tigers did not qualify for a team score.
Huron will close the regular season Thursday at the Eastern South Dakota Conference Meet in Harrisburg at 10 a.m.
