HURON — The Watertown Arrows took first place, while the Tigers grabbed a respectable second place at the Huron Gymnastics Triangular, held Thursday night at the Tiger Activities Center.
“First meet back into action and the girls did a nice job,” said Tiger coach, Julie King. “My veteran gymnasts still continue to impress me.”
Huron’s Erica Zell earned third place all around and a first place victory in the balance beam event, with 9.35 score. Zell also finished third in the floor exercises and picked up a fifth-place in the vault event.
Also competing for Huron was Emily Lord, with seventh place all around and at ninth was Kassie Decker for the Tigers.
“We have some polishing to do, but the girls had a good first meet after our last competition on Dec. 15,” King stated.
The Tigers will be back in action on Saturday at the Brookings Invitational.
