HURON — The Huron and Brandon Valley boys’ varsity soccer teams fought hard with equal performances, as a draw concluded the game at 1-1 on Tuesday night at the Tiger Stadium.
Sophomore Kler Hae took a proud punt for the Tigers, as he put the ball in the net to score the goal and get that point on the scoreboard.
Eh Bleh, senior goalie for Huron, blocked nine shots and assisted the team with an impressive performance, making sure Brandon Valley did not over-take the Tigers with a second goal.

“We played a great team game tonight. I thought our defense really stepped it up tonight and played the best and smartest game they had played all season, said Leah Branaugh Huron boys’ soccer coach. “Our goalie, Eh Bleh, also had his best game of the season. He was able to stop a penalty kick which was huge for us in the first half.”
Rogelio Sanchez Perez also made an assist for Huron. The Tigers put all they had into defense as one of their hardest competitors, Brandon Valley were also working their defensive side to focus on keeping the ball from slipping past the goalies.
“Our offense was a little quiet tonight and this was the first time we have been held to just one goal. They were able to limit our shots as well, Branaugh said. “Kler Hae was able to score for us right before the first half ended, taking us into the half tied 1-1. I was proud of the effort we gave tonite. We have one day off and play at Mitchell on Thursday.”
In the boys’ junior varsity game another equal score was called at 5-5, with another defense focused match. Two Huron goals were scored by Wanney So, while each Eh Do Wah, Kler Hae, Daniel Carabantes made the other three shots.
