Huron Strong plans graduate parade

HURON — It’s time to celebrate the Graduates of 2020 in the #HuronStrong Community!

This coming Sunday, beginning at 4 p.m., we invite all graduates of Huron, James Valley, and all graduates of colleges who have grown up in the #HuronStrong community to join in the parade.

The Huron City Police Department will be escorting the procession throughout the parade route, which will begin with lining up in the Huron High School parking lot at 3:45 p.m.

Graduates, who are encouraged to safely ride in pickups, convertibles or in cars with the windows down, should be one to a vehicle, with family and an adult driver.

The procession will travel down Arizona to Lincoln Ave., to Market St, east to Dakota Ave., then south 21st Street and back.

The public is encouraged to line up cars along the parade route and honk and wave to the graduates in recognition of their accomplishments.

If you are outside your vehicle to greet the graduates, please maintain safe social distancing.
