Huron teams fourth in Aberdeen

ABERDEEN — The Huron competitive cheer and dance teams opened the season with fourth-place finishes during the Aberdeen Central Spirit Invitational on Saturday.
The Tigers recorded a score of 221, with just three deductions to finish fourth in the competitive cheer event.
Sioux Falls Roosevelt, which had zero deductions, was first with a 285.50, while Harrisburg was second at 238. Sioux Falls Washington was third at 232, followed by Huron and Brookings at 220.50 to round out the top five in the 11-team event.

The Tigers had an overall score of 236.33 to finish fourth in competitive dance.
Sioux Falls Washington claimed the top spot with 261.67, while Sioux Falls Roosevelt was second at 242.33. Harrisburg was third at 238.33, followed by Huron and Sioux Falls Lincoln at 233.83 to round out the top five.
The Tigers tied for third in hip hop with a 237.50, was fourth in jazz at 234 and fifth in pom at 237.5.
Huron will be back in action Tuesday at the Watertown Invitational, which begins at 5 p.m.
