Huron wins against Cavaliers

ABERDEEN — The Huron Tiger tennis team posted a 6-3 win over the Aberdeen Roncalli Cavaliers Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action.
Huron won four of six singles matches and two of three in the doubles, while also sweeping five singles and a pair of doubles exhibition matches.
Eh Dah earned a tough 7-6, 6-4 win over Gray Imberg at the No. 3 singles, while Eh Kalu coasted past Michael Garofalo 6-2 and 6-2 at No. 4 singles to get Huron rolling. Wins by Roger Puterbaugh and Tyrese Theus at the fifth and sixth flight singles - Puterbaugh downed Jackson Henrich 6-1 and 6-1, while Theus defeated Gavin Heier 6-2, 6-2.
Dah and Kalu won the No. 2 doubles match, defeating Imberg/Garofalo 6-2, 6-3, while Puterbaugh teamed with Moo Sher Say to down Heier and Cason Hellwig 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.
Huron’s No. 1 singles player Brenden Schlader dropped a tough 6-2, 6-1 match to Joseph Goetz, while No. 2 singles player Reese Uecker dropped a 6-2, 6-2 decision to Spencer Titus. Goetz/Titus also took the No. 1 doubles match, 6-0, 6-2, over Schlader/Uecker.
In exhibition singles matches, Moo Sher Say defeated Hellwig 8-0 and Ta Tha Htoo defeated Palmer Johnson by the same score. Aung Min defeated May 8-0, Lay Kpaw Wah beat Prehn 8-1 and Hay Klu clipped Zikmund 8-1. Exhibition doubles matches saw Huron’s Ta Tha Htoo and Aung Min defeat Hellwig/Johnson 8-3, while Lay Kpaw Wah and Hay Klu Moo Taw downed May and Prehn 8-0.
