The fifth “I Made a Difference” award was presented to Rick and Wanda Hoffman, 1814 McDonald Dr. The Hoffmans purchased their home in December 2002. Since then, they have installed new windows and siding, as well as added a third stall on the garage. They created a stained concrete patio in the front and back of their home, with cement landscape edging. Last year, they removed the ’70s era brick from their home and installed cultured ledger stone and a stone column to enhance the outside of their home. To finish the project this year, they added new planters, landscaping and river rock. They received a flag from the VFW Post 1776 and Auxiliary, gift certificates from East River Nursery, Dakota Provision and Lewis Drug, and a gift from Runnings.
