SIOUX FALLS — Inez V. Oleson, 88, of Sioux Falls, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Good Samaritan Village in Sioux Falls.
Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 27, at George Boom Funeral Home & Crematory in Sioux Falls, 3408 E. 10th St., with interment at 2:30 p.m. in Rose Hill Cemetery at Scotland.
Inez Vera Hiller was born April 19, 1929, in Kaylor to Emanuel and Bertha (Baltzer) Hiller. She graduated from Scotland High School in 1947. She was united in marriage to Quentin Oleson October 15, 1948.  
The couple initially resided in a number of communities in S.D. before moving to Calif. in 1954. In 1960, the family moved to Vermillion. She was an active member of the UCC church. She enjoyed a 10-year career as an Activities Coordinator at the Vermillion Nursing Home. In retirement, they took up ballroom dancing and spent a number of years as RVers, wintering in Ariz., N.M., Texas, and the Palm Springs area.
She is survived by her husband, Quentin; four children, Lyndon (Diane) Oleson of Sioux Falls, Janella (Rick) Mathiesen of Sioux Falls, Nanette Balleweg of Vermillion, Wendy (Kevin) Chapman of McKinney, Texas; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; three stepgreat-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and infant brother, Gilmore Hiller.
