ABERDEEN — Irene Lois Nash Bye, 86, of Aberdeen and formerly of Redfield, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017, at the Bethesda Home of Aberdeen.
Her funeral is 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 22,  at Thelen-Hyke Funeral Home in Redfield. Following a time of fellowship at Leo’s Good Food in Redfield, burial will be in the Northville Cemetery at Northville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Thelen-Hyke Funeral Home. Family will be present to accept condolences during this time. A time of sharing will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Irene Lois Arthurs was born May 21, 1931 in Mellette to James and Josephine (Wendt) Arthurs. She grew up and attended school in Mellette.  She was united in marriage to Gordon Nash March 21, 1950. The couple moved to a homestead near Chelsea. Gordon passed away from a car accident in 1967. She was united in marriage to Leonard Bye in 1975. She lived in Cresbard, running a daycare for many years.
She is survived by her daughters,  LaVonne Lopez of Ft. Worth, Texas, Lois (Roy) Wilkins of Aberdeen, Lorraine Wilkins of Redfield, and Lynn Nash of Aberdeen; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, William Arthurs.
She was preceded in death by her husband; siblings,  Lawrence, Donald, Howard, Lucille, Alberta, Ellen, Ruth, Doris, and Inez.
