Iroquois Sports Day to host weekend activities

IROQUOIS — The annual Sports Day celebration at Iroquois will be held Friday through Sunday, with exciting activities planned throughout the three day event.
A community potluck will begin at 6 p.m. Friday in Woodall Park, with music by The Norgards Country Duo at 6:30 p.m. At 9 p.m., D.J. and Karaoke by Mudd Entertainment will be held at Iroquois Community Store.
A 5K run and two mile walk begin the festivities on Saturday at 7:30 a.m., with a parade, “Pride and Progress,” at 10 a.m. on Main Street, followed by a candy scramble.
A Fireman’s Challenge will be held immediately after the candy scramble.
A bean bag tournament will be held at 2 p.m. at Woodall Park, with a $200 prize for first place. That evening at 8 p.m., D.J. and Karaoke will entertain at the store.
Fireworks are planned at dusk. Throughout the weekend, class reunions will also be held.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
