Iroquois Elementary School celebrated Laura Ingalls Wilder’s birthday with an afternoon of pioneer activities. Kingston Hiles and Alexis Hanson churn cream into butter. Preschool through fifth-grade students participated.Activities included thimble painting, crocheting, grinding wheat, making autograph albums and harmonicas. Everyone enjoyed sampling the churned butter on fresh baked wheat bread.
