Isaac Kayle Machtemes was born January 23, 2005, to Brian and Melissa (Brown) Machtemes at Huron. He grew up on the family farm southeast of Cavour. Isaac was an eighth-grade student attending Iroquois Middle School. He ran cross country and track. He was also active in football and basketball. Isaac loved to sing in the school choir, belting out notes until his voice was hoarse. He was a lifelong boy scout with his mother as an assistant scoutmaster. Isaac earned his Star rank in the Huron Boy Scouts with Troop 222. He enjoyed joking around with family and friends, sharing his faith and spending time with his family, especially his two brothers. His favorite pastime was raiding his grandma’s fridge for goodies with his grandpa. Isaac loved the outdoors and could be found four wheeling on the dirt track behind his home, fishing out at West Bend, hunting with his family and riding ATV down back country roads with his dad.
