WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Jack Wayne Ferguson, 71, of Wessington Springs, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Avera Weskota Memorial Medical Center in Wessington Springs.  
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday August 4, at the First United Methodist Church in Wessington Springs. Interment will be in the Solberg Cemetery south of Lane with military rites. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge in Wessington Springs with an Eastern Star service at 6 p.m. followed by a Masonic service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
Jack was born January 28, 1947, in Louisville, Ky. to Clyde E. and Francis Elizabeth Ferguson. The family moved to Calif. where he graduated from Eagle Rock High School in 1965. He was drafted into the U.S. Army, serving from 1967 to 1969, and was honorably discharged. He was united in marriage to Gloria Jean Forbes January 23, 1971. In 1976, they moved to Queen Creek, Ariz. He worked as a union sprinkler fitter for Local Union 669 for 32 years. In 2004, the couple moved to Wessington Springs. He lead the local color guard, and served as president of the Springs Country Club Board. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a dedicated Shriner.
He is survived by his wife; children, Lynnette (Marcus Damm) Neely, Jack (Lorena) Ferguson, and Jim (Vicky) Ferguson; nine grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Clyde “Buddy” Ferguson.
