MANSFIELD — Jacob Arthur Bierman, 40, of Mansfield, passed away at his residence on Sunday, July 9, 2017.
His funeral service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, July 13, at Thelen-Hyke Funeral Home in Redfield. Burial will follow in the Athol Cemetery at Athol. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m Wednesday at the funeral home.
Jacob Arthur Bierman was born January 27, 1977, in Aberdeen to Ralph and Connie (Weideman) Bierman. At an early age, Jacob began working in the construction business as a roofer. For several years, he was a skinner for Beadle’s Fur Trading and Brokerage. Eventually, he owned and operated his own construction business, “JB Construction.” He lived on the edge as he enjoyed racing cars, riding motorcycles, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his father, Ralph Bierman of Mansfield; his mother, Connie LaRocque of Aberdeen; siblings, Leo (Debra) Bierman of Aberdeen, Nicole Lohr of Sioux Falls, Jackie (Scott) Dunlavy of Pierre, and Jill (Jason) Palmer of Mansfield; and seven nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Sara in infancy; his paternal grandparents, Arthur and Lena Bierman; his maternal grandparents, Dale and Jean Weideman; and his beloved dog, Chance.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Thelen-Hyke Funeral Home.
