HURON — Joan Scheidegger, 67, Huron, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2020, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.
Her funeral was held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Kuhler Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be one hour prior to the service.
Joan Lee Licht was born Aug. 26, 1953, to Walter and June (Loats) Licht at Estelline. On Sept. 30, 1972, she married Donovan Scheidegger, and they lived in Huron. She worked for the same insurance agency for 44 years, retiring in 2018.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, William.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Donovan; son, Adam Scheidegger of Boston, Mass.; and daughter, Megan Scheidegger and her special friend, Paul Sides of Bridgeport, Neb.; siblings, Patsy (Wallace) Weber of Brandt, Diana (Jim) Buchholz of Estelline, Paul (Janet) Licht of Sioux Falls, and Joyce (Lyle) Poppen of Estelline; sister-in-law, Lisa Licht of Estelline; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
