SPINK COLONY — John J. Wipf, 90, of Spink Colony, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020, surrounded by his loved ones.


He was born July 6, 1930, to Pr. John & Katherina (Waldner) Wipf, at Bon Homme Colony. He moved to Spink Colony in 1945.

He married Dorothy Waldner on February 4, 1950. They were married for 66 short years and were blessed with five sons and eight daughters.


He will be greatly missed by his 11 children, Jerry (Margaret) Wipf of Spink, Johnny (Elisabeth) Wipf of Spink, Blondina (Davey) Stahl of Newport, Ruth (Amos) Wollman of Lismore, Susanna (Albert) Stahl of Newport, Kathryn (Sammy) Wollman of Lismore, Mary (Joey) Wipf of Spring Prairie, Pr. Samuel (Pauline) Wipf of Spink, Rachel Wipf of Spink, Joseph (Linda) Wipf of Spink, Eli (Linda) Wipf of Spink; Son-In-Law David (Margaret) Waldner of Spink; three sisters, Katherina (Pre. George*) Waldner of Hutterville, Sarah (Paul*) Waldner of Spink, Maria (Pr. Joseph) Waldner of Platte; 53 grandchildren and 125 great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two daughters; three brothers, two sisters; one grandson; and one great-grandchild.
