HITCHCOCK — John R. Tschetter, 94, of Hitchcock and Huron, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021.
His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Welter Funeral Home with burial to follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in Huron. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
John R. Tschetter was born on March 24, 1927, in Lake Byron to Lorenz and Suzanna (Kleinsasser) Tschetter.
He married Marie B. Gross on June 5, 1948.
He is survived by his children, Reggie (Jewel) Tschetter of Huron, Karen Swanda of Huron, Cheryl (Frank) Raymond of Renner, and Teresa (Darrell) Simon of Peterson, Minn.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marie; son-in-law, John Swanda; grandson, Brian Swanda; five sisters and three brothers.
