Johnson honors Vietnam veterans

HURON — Rep. Dusty Johnson (R-SD) was in Huron Friday and made multiple stops on the day, visiting the COVID-19 testing center and having lunch at Washington School, but the highlight of his day was the opportunity to honor a group of veterans of the Vietnam War.

Johnson spoke to a group of more than 20 in attendance about the disservice that was done to those who had honorably served the country in Vietnam when they returned from their service. He then allowed each of the honorees of the day to speak about his time in service to the country before handing the recipients a pin and an honorary coin in recognition of their service.

More details on the recipients will be in the Monday paper along with a full interview with Rep. Johnson.
