HURON — Joyce K. Hines, 76, of Huron, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018, at the Avera Queen of Peace Hospital, Mitchell.
Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at Restoration Church (formerly known as Huron First Assembly of God Church). Burial will be in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Kuhler Funeral Home, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m., and a 6:30 p.m. prayer service.
Joyce Karen Winter was born July 12, 1942, at Wessington Spring to Rueben and Alma (Schimke) Winter. She attended school there from grade school through junior college.
She was united in marriage to Marvin LeRoy Hines September 2, 1967, at the First Assembly of God Church in Huron, where they became lifelong members. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, gardening, tending to her houseplants, scrapbooking and journaling.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin; children, Darla (Eric) Porter of Huron, and Kip (Jennifer) Hines of Staples, Minn.; six grandchildren, Serena, Ashley and Shonda Porter and Laken, Bella and Willow Hines; and brother, Gordon Winter of Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
