WOONSOCKET — Judy Kindle, 78, of Woonsocket, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Her Memorial Service will be on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Welter Funeral Home with a private burial at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Judy Kay Kindle was born on July 24, 1941, in Huron to parents Willis R. and Ella Mae (Rounds) Drake.
Judy married Harlan Wells in Iroquois in 1959, and had four children. Judy married Gary Kindle in 1969, and he passed away in 1978. Judy owned and operated Al’s Place for 40 years and operated it until her passing.
Judy is survived by her children, Doug (Lisa) Wells, Scott Wells, Sherri (Steve) Gerry, and Rob (Holly) Wells; Nine grandchildren and 13 Great-grandchildren; siblings, Jim (Jo) Drake, Jerry Drake, Danny (Jody) Drake, Junelle (Chuck) Marso, and Denis (Terri) Drake.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary; special friend, Dick Hopper; and sister, Dixie Carmody.
