HURON — Judy C. Nelson, 74, of Huron, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018, at the Violet Tschetter Memorial Home.
Her funeral service will be 11: a.m., Tuesday, September 18, at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1to 7 p.m. Monday at the Kuhler Funeral Home, with her family present from 5 to 7 p.m.
Judy Carol Koch was born December 15, 1943, at Wessington to Vernon and Ella (Sass) Koch. She graduated from Wolsey High School in 1961. She then attended Stewarts School of Hair at Aberdeen.
She married Jerald Dilley in March of 1962, they later divorced. She was united in marriage to Charles P. Nelson September 14, 1996. She worked as a beautician at the Plains Beauty Salon, LaBoutique Salon, and Patrice Beauty Salon. She was employed at Trussbuilt from 1991 thru 2010.
She is survived by her son, Steve (Jennifer) Dilley of Arlington; two step-children; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Janice Jungemann of Wolsey, and Janette Kleinfeld of Boca Raton, Fla; brothers, Don Koch of Rapid City, and Jerry Koch of Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughter-in-law, Laurie Dilley and her family of Huron; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; ex-husband; son, Jeff; brother, Ivan; a son-in-law; a niece; two nephews, two brothers-in-law; and three sisters-in-law.
