HURON – A jury of nine women and five men has been selected in the first-degree murder trial of Kevin Krueger.
Names of the 14 jurors were announced in court Friday afternoon after prosecution and defense attorneys spent about two days selecting the panel.
Two of the jurors will serve as alternates, but they won’t be identified and excused until the jury gets the case and begins deliberations.

Testimony is set to begin Tuesday morning.
Krueger, 52, of rural Huron, is accused in the May 2016 beating death of Keith Houck, 49, in rural Huron.
An initial pool of 140 men and women was called for jury selection in the case.
The defendant is being represented by Clint Sargent of Sioux Falls and Zachary Flood of Mitchell, while Beadle County State’s Attorney Mike Moore is prosecuting the case.
