HURON — Huron High School senior Sylvia Kattner was awarded the PEO STAR Scholarship.
This is a non-renewable $2,500 scholarship for graduating high school senior women which must be used in the academic year following graduation.
Kattner was sponsored by Huron PEO Chapter CM.
The P.E.O. STAR Scholarship was established in 2009 to provide scholarships for exceptional high school senior women to attend an accredited post-secondary educational institution in the United States or Canada in the next academic year.
Chapter CM will nominate another exceptional high school woman (a current junior) in early fall 2019 for the 2020-21 academic year.
