HURON — Kenneth Alan Brown, 72, of Huron, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2020, at Avera McKennan ICU in Sioux Falls.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Kuhler Funeral Home. Visitation will be on hour prior to the service.
Kenneth Brown was born Jan. 28, 1948, to Kenneth and Virginia (Sabin) Brown, in Everett, Wash. He served in the Vietnam War where he was severely injured and disabled. After the service, he married high school sweetheart Ruth Shoopman Feb. 22, 1979, in Everett.
He was a full-time stay-at -home dad and Paa. He served as American Legion commander in Wessington Springs, and was also a member of the VFW.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Tamera Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; children, David Brown (Tammy Morast), Angela Brown, Nathan Brown, and Daniel Brown; one sister, Kathy King; and one brother, Truman Brown; five grandchildren and four great -grandchildren.
