WINFRED — Kim Miller, 61, of Winfred, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, April 7, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Howard, with burial at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
Kim Miller was born July 16, 1956, at Mitchell to Duane and Shirley (Dierscheid) Miller. He grew up around Winfred and Howard, attending grade school and graduating from Howard High School in 1975.
He was united in marriage to Vicki Dannert April 8, 1978. The couple moved onto the farm in rural Winfred, where Kim continued farming. Besides farming with his father, he would help area farmers, that is when he was not involved with his children and grandchildren or going to sporting events, and if he was not watching sports on the television. He was a quiet man and lived a humble life, dearly loving his family especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife; children, Kurt Miller of Madison, Kristy (T.J.) Carlson and Katy (Andrew) Van Zee both of Brookings; four grandchildren; siblings, Gary Miller of Rapid City, Leah (Pete) Bisgard of Waubay, Todd (Sharon) Miller of Sioux Falls, Dana (Jeff) Kykstra of Pierre, Jill (John) Lutmer of Pierre,  and Robin (Andre) Supersad of Middletown, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
