SALEM — Kristin Brandis Schierholz, 39, of Salem and formerly of Sioux Falls, died Sunday, June 18, 2017, at the Salem Care and Rehabilitation Center.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 p.m., Friday, June 23, at the Larchwood Community Center in Larchwood, Iowa.
Kristin Elaine Schierholz was born October 5, 1977, to Milo Schierholz and Carol Sholten. She was raised in Lyon County and graduated from West Lyon High School in 1996. Kristin was married in 2005 and had four children. She held various jobs over her lifetime, most recently working as a Medical Assistant at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Due to health complications she had to quit working.
In November of 2016, she became a resident of the Salem Care and Rehabilitation Center where she resided until her death.
She is survived by her parents, Milo (Carol) Schierholz of Fair Play, Mo., and Carol Gannon of Howard; daughters, Morgan Brandis, Mersaydees Brandis, Aaliyah Brandis, and Isabella Brandis; siblings, Bob ( Bekah) Shierholz, Kelley (Kelci) Schierholz,  Angie (Dennis) Schierholz all of Eagle River, Alaska, Christi (Tyce) Bruns of Olathe, Kan., Mindy (Enlyn) Freeman of Salem, Ore., Sara (Cristian) Perez of Overland Park, Kan., Brian (Megan) Gannon, and Zachary Gannon both of Howard; and other relatives and friends.
