REDFIELD — Larry LaVern Sell, 78, of Redfield, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Community Memorial Hospital in Redfield.  
He was cremated and his memorial service will be 1 p.m., Friday, January 18, at Hyke Funeral Home in Redfield. Pastor Lorah Houser Jankord will officiate.  
Larry LaVern Sell was born November 8, 1940, at Wagner to Elmer and Helen (Chytka) Sell. Prior to being drafted, he worked as a farmhand in the Armour and Lake Andes areas. He served in the U.S. Army from October 1963 to October 1965, and was honorable discharged. He was united in marriage to Donna Winters December 28, 1965. He farmed and raised cattle on their land west of Tulare, retiring in 2003. He was a proud member of the American Legion.  
He is survived by his wife, Donna of Redfield; children, Terry Sell of Rapid City, and Vickie (Jeff) Schultz of Tulare; grandchildren, Shay Sell of Neb., Ashley Sell of Rapid City,
Trista Cole of Hitchcock, Derick Schultz of Minneapolis, Minn., and Cassie Schultz of Tulare; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Jean Myear, Ed Sell, Shirley Peterman, Sharon Davis, Bob Sell, Linda Clark, Arlene Danielson, and Diane Gotz.  
He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents.  
Arrangements have been entrusted to Hyke Funeral Home.
