Learning about apples

Posted

Kindernook Preschool is in full swing and busy learning. To reinforce letter “A” and their unit on “Apples,” students in the 4’s class culminated with a field trip to an orchard at the home of Rodney and Beckie Freeman. They enjoyed sipping sweet and delicious cider, which they made from pressing apples. Students were also treated to apple cookies and applesauce, ringing a bell to call the cows, a video about the life of Johnny Appleseed, a ride in an antique apple cart, and a shiny apple upon boarding the bus. Shown in the back row with Rodney and Beckie Freeman are, from left, Cruz Chenoweth, Lilly Powell, Kennidee Kunze, Ashtyn Pedersen, Emersyn Jungemann, Lillian Miller, Evie Gronewold, Zadok Raye, Ziggy Jacobs, Grace Diede and Harley Jons; and in front, Roy Cass, Dominic Barragan, Liamm Trebelcock, Isaac Schoonhoven, Bentley Reimer, Leo Wilson, Zayder Stahl, Jack Too, Teegan Radke, Kellan Ball, and Tyson Koester.
