HURON — Lenora Peskey, 92, of Huron, formerly of Iroquois, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. at the Welter Funeral Home in Huron; or visitation one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Iroquois, with burial at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Lenora Mae Zell, daughter of William and Emilie (Koser) Zell was born on November 25, 1926 in rural Cavour.
Grateful for having shared in Lenora’s life are her four children: Barb (Douglas) Canode of Gallatin Gateway, Mont.; Judy (Dave) Crenshaw of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Alan Peskey of Brookshire, Texas, and Todd Peskey of Iroquois; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Harland (Mary) Zell of Missouri and Verald (Phyllis) Zell of Louisiana; sister, Esther Koenig-Moschkou of Wisconsin; sister-in-law Velda Zeeck of Huron; and many nieces and nephews.
Lenora was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, and brothers and sisters.
