To the editor:
Now that we know the President was aware of the airborne transmission of COVID-19 weeks before notifying the public, thousands more lives could have been saved.
Even today, our governor has not issued a mandate requiring masks and social distancing in large gatherings. Just look at Sturgis and Mt. Rushmore.
With a viable vaccine not being available for six months to a year, the mortality rate will probably exceed half a million before a significant reduction occurs.
I pray that our leaders will become more concerned with our health than the economy.
