Letter to the Editor - Simonson

To the Editor:

Marty Jackley was a student in an electrical engineering class that I taught at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in 1990. As part of their engineering education, students are taught to think critically to solve problems based on fundamental scientific principles.
It is very gratifying to see that Marty is using his analytical problem solving skills to now solve complex problems of a different nature. Clearly, Marty has developed a toolbox of skills to solve problems that are very important to the future of South Dakota. The Governor of South Dakota will be challenged to solve many problems that we cannot envision today.
I am confident that Marty will find the right solutions for South Dakota. I am proud to support Mr. Jackley’s candidacy in the June 5 Republican Primary election. I welcome you to join me in electing him to be our Republican candidate for Governor in November’s General election.
