HIGHMORE — Linda K. Wurts, 73, of Highmore, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017, at the Avera Hand County Hospital.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 14, at Our Savior Lutheran Church. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church with visitation two-hours prior.
Linda K. Dressen was born July 13, 1944, in Mitchell to John and Velva (Ehlers) Dressen. She attended Kimball High School, graduating in 1962.
She was united in marriage to Roger Wurts February 23, 1967. Together they made their home south of Highmore, where they raised their family.
She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Highmore, CPH Club, Chapelle Local Farmers Union, and was a life member of the South Dakota Farmers Union.
She is survived by her husband; children, Richard (Cheryl) Wurts of Huron, Paula (John) Kloppel of Columbus, Neb., and Michael (Heather) Wurts of Highmore; grandchildren: Jackie (Nate) Hellzen, Ashley Wurts, Allison Wurts, Jacob Kloppel, Joshua Kloppel, Logan Wurts, and Cade Wurts; great granddaughter, Peyton Hellzen; brother, Dennis (Donna) Dressen of Rapid City; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Luze Funeral Home of Highmore has been entrusted with Linda’s arrangements.
