FERGUS FALLS, Minn. — Linda Jean Waring, 77, of Fergus Falls, Minn., passed away Thursday, September 6, 2018, at Sanford in Fargo, N.D.
Her Memorial Service will be 1 p.m. today, at St. James Episcopal Church in Fergus Falls. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
Linda was born on September 19, 1940, in Huron, to Edward W. and Frances E. (Cowling) Smith. She graduated from Huron High School in 1958. She graduated in 1962 from SDSU in Brookings with a degree in political science.
She was united in marriage to David Lee Waring December 29, 1962. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Women’s Club of Fergus Falls, Antiquarians II, Christian Women’s Club Bible study, and VLCO Book Club. She was a lifelong learner and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her husband, David; children, Chris (Jordana Money) Waring of Chicago, Robin (Kris) Werner of Fergus Falls; grandchildren, Alise and Emily Werner of Fergus Falls; sister, Stephanie Mann of Shoreview, Minn.; six nephews; three nieces; and two great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Jack Mann and sister-in-law, Doriene Johnson.
Memorials are preferred to the Otter Tail County Humane Society or St. James Episcopal Church, Fergus Falls.
