Longtime Huron financial advisor announces retirement

Public invited to open house Thursday

HURON — Longime Ameriprise Financial Services advisor Marla Starr has announced her retirement from the company after servingfamilies in the Huron area for 26 years.
Starr is part of Legacy Financial Partners, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC.

“Helping Huron and surrounding area families reach their financial goals – and then working with their kids and even their grandkids to reach their own financial goals – has been the highlight of my career,” Starr said. “It’s been an honor to serve these families alongside my talented team.”

The practice, which includes advisor Kristin Hill and support staff Jann Johnson and Amber Worthington, will continue to serve Huron residents in their current location, located at 110 3rd St SW Ste 108.

Legacy Financial Partners is hosting an open house to celebrate Starr’s retirement at the Ameriprise office, from 4 to 7 p.m.  on Thursday, Dec. 9. The public is welcome.

Starr is an active member of the Huron community, serving as a board member of the Heartland Region United Way-Huron, current member of the Huron Kiwanis Club, past president of the Huron Chamber and Visitors Bureau, and the Huron Country Club.  She is also active in the Methodist Church.
