Lowell Droz, 87, of Miller

MILLER — Lowell Droz, 87, of Miller, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Society in Miller.
Memorial service with military honors will be 2 p.m., Friday, October 6, at First Presbyterian Church in Miller. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery at Miller. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Reck Funeral Home at Miller.
Lowell was born May 4, 1930, in Miller to Les and Irene (Taylor) Droz. He attended Miller High School and served as a Marine during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953.
He was united in marriage to Donna Faye Johnson February 18, 1954. He ranched with his father until he and Donna purchased a ranch. He was a treasurer for Pleasant Valley Township, a Hand County Commissioner, a member of the South Hand Fire Department, and Marine Corps League.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; children, Jeanette Hastings, Sandra Holt, and Greg (Shelly) Droz all of Miller; his grandchildren; great-grandchildren; siblings, Charles (Fern) Droz, Darlene (Jesse) Hammer, and Carolyn (Marvin) Diede; in-laws, Wallace and Darlene Johnson, and Carroll Morford; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Howard and brother, Gordon.  
Reck Funeral Home of Miller has been entrusted with Lowell’s arrangements.
