HURON — The Lower Brule Sioux move towards the championship game tonight, after a 74-54 win over the Flandreau Indian Indians on Friday night.
Shane Sazue led a trio of double figure finishers, with 36 points, five of which were three-point shots, followed by Kevin Peterson with 17, and Demas Bromwich with 10. The Sioux improve their season record to 8-6 with the win.
Caleb White led the Indians, now dropped to 11-4 on the season, with 10 points, including two three-pointers for White and Byron Freemont, as he and Makonhs Stevens finished with eight each.
The Sioux boys’ basketball team will play the championship round at 8 p.m., tonight, while the Indians are set to play at 4:30 p.m. for third.
