REDFIELD — Lyle Clinton Hormann, 88, of Redfield, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at the Community Memorial Hospital in Redfield.
His funeral service will be 3 p.m., Saturday, August 12, with visitation starting at 2 p.m. at the Thelen-Hyke Funeral Home in Redfield. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery at Redfield.
Lyle was born June 2nd, 1929 in Aberdeen to Ernest and Dora (Wolter) Hormann. He grew up and was educated in both Redfield and Aberdeen.
He was united in marriage to Shirley Zens November 15, 1954. He enjoyed gambling, playing cards, and going to the horse races. Often, he could be found outdoors tending to his garden. As an avid hunter, he looked forward to pheasant season every year.
He is survived by his children, Wanda (Doug) Hamilton of Groton, Carol (Randy) Maddox of Redfield, and Keith (Ramona) Hormann of Forest Grove, Ore.; sister, Loretta Hauck; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Peggy Harmann, Mareta Hormann, Dorothy Connor, and Darlene Lutrell; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; son, Robbie; his sisters, Violet and Lee; and his brothers, Kenneth, Lynford, Donnie, Merle, Marvis, and Eugene.
