Lynx blank Huron girls in season opener

HURON — Brandon Valley emerged with a 7-0 victory against the Huron girls’ soccer team during the season opener for both teams on Friday at Tiger Stadium.

“Brandon Valley was a tough opening game,” said. Teresa Peterson, who is in her first season as head coach for the Tigers. “We learned what we need to work on going forward, and I’m proud about how hard they played until the final whistle.”

Huron goalkeeper Hkee Hser was under pressure for a majority of the game and came up with 31 saves in the net.

Brandon Valley recorded a 12-0 win in the junior varsity girls’ game.

The Tigers return to action Friday with a 4 p.m., game against Spearfish at Tiger Stadium.
