HURON — Mae Tschetter, 67, of Huron, passed away Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, at the Avera McKennan Hospital at Sioux Falls.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday at the Kuhler Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m., Monday at the Kuhler Funeral Home, with her family present from 5 to 7 p.m., and a prayer service and time of sharing at 6 p.m. Monday evening. The family prefers memorials.
Mae Irene Kant was born to Gene and Verna (Boyd) Kant on Nov. 25, 1950. She graduated from Huron High School in 1969.
In 1982, Mae married Lester T. McKinney. He passed away in 1990. On July 1, 1994, Mae married Donald “Jake” Tschetter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Edward Kant; one granddaughter, Amanda Ravenscroft.
She is survived by her husband, Jake of Huron; her three daughters, Wendy (Todd) Ravenscroft of Huron, Nikki Sundstrom of Gillette, Wyo., and Darlena (Patrick) Fischer of West Des Moines, Iowa; eight grandchildren; siblings, Jean (Russ) North of Huron, Bill Kant (Mary Rudd) of Sioux Falls, Karen King (Brad Schweigert) of Huron, David Kant of Sioux Falls, and Karla Lentz (Dan Keefe) of Colton; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
